Spearheaded
by Dr. Habibollah Haron
http://fsksm.utm.my/~habib/main.htm and assisted by Mr. Mohd
Shukor Talib from Jabatan Pemodelan dan Pengkomputeran Industri
(JPPI, Division of Modeling & Industrial Computer,
http://www.fsksm.utm.my/) of Fakulti Sains Komputer & Sistem
Maklumat, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, the faculty has
acquired a 20-user license of ProModel Opt V6, in addition to
the existing 20-user ProModel Opt V4 installed at their recently
upgraded lab of Makmal Pemodelan dan Simulasi. We are excited at
this new exposure for ProModel and look forward to seeing the
growth of V.A.O. technology & research at this fine university.
As
arranged by JPPI, the certified ProModel consultants from
OPTIMAL Expert Management Solutions Sdb Bhd had conducted an
intensive 3.5-day course with extensive hands-on applications
from 19 July to 22 July at Makmal Pemodelan dan Simulasi. There
were about ten lecturers, researchers, & some industrial guests
participating in the class. The class was specially designed to
help users develop fundamental & essential skills in ProModelOpt
simulation modeling & optimization, as well as some common
manufacturing management philosophies.
The training approaches given by OPTIMAL Expert were
non-conventional, such that they
encouraged users to learn & to master the important skills in
analysis & optimization of their real-life industrial problems
rather than cramping themselves with merely some programming
skills. One of the most important objectives of the class was to
help users unleash the full advantages of VAO Technology by
first appreciating the beauty & the critical needs for
industrial modeling today.
