The Institute of Postgraduate
Studies (IPS) is the Graduate Centre
for Universiti Malaya since its
inception in 1979. IPS is the home
for nearly 9,000 students with
approximately 2,000 international
students from 70 countries today.

Initiated and coordinated by the
Deputy Dean,
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Aishah Hashim
Ali, who herself is a
Mathematica enthusiast, OPTIMAL
Expert helped organize an one-day
Mathematica V6 on
26 Mar 08 at IPS. The
workshop attracted many post
graduate students from various
faculties with different areas of
research & technical interest. |

The majority of the attendees
witnessed the power of symbolic
computation package for the first
time. However, a score of them who
had used Mathematica of older
version before, were equally
impressed with what Mathematica V6
could do to their projects. Many
were particularly thrilled to see
the powerful graphic visualization &
the robust integrated data sources.
They discovered in fact there were
so much more value they could add to
their current studies & works.
Backed by such exciting demand,
